I'm Sandesh —
a Product Designer grounded in
Human Factors.

I transform complex user behavior into strategic, end-to-end product solutions. By measuring usability instead of assuming it, I design accessible systems that reduce cognitive friction for users.

A bus dispatch interface no one has to see in color.

Redesigning a color-only dispatch panel for a color-blind operator. Redundant encoding raised route accuracy from 55% to 100%.

HOW I WORK

[ 02 ]
1

I don't start in Figma.

I start by mapping the user's mental model and understanding the business constraints. Whether it means interviewing stakeholders or sitting directly with a transit operator to observe their workflow, my foundational work happens in research and problem-framing before I ever touch a canvas.

2

I design for technical feasibility.

My background in Information Technology means I understand how digital products are actually built. I factor backend constraints and component logic into my designs early, speak the same language as developers, and structure meticulous handoffs that survive implementation.

3

I measure instead of assuming.

A beautiful interface is useless if it fails the user. Grounded in my Human Factors Engineering training, I rely on heuristic evaluations, controlled usability testing, and strict WCAG accessibility standards to validate my decisions. If I claim a design works, there is a metric backing it up.

ABOUT ME

Sandesh Subedi

Product Designer since 5+ Years

Designing for the human operating system.

My journey into design started in Information Technology. While earning my degree in Malaysia, I quickly realized that flawless code is useless if the interface ignores the user. That realization led me to the United States to pursue my MS in Human Factors Engineering.

Having lived, studied, and worked across Nepal, Malaysia, and the US, I bring a deeply cross-cultural perspective to product design. I know firsthand that systems fail when they ignore diverse mental models.

Today, I combine my technical foundation with cognitive psychology to build digital environments that are inclusive, accessible, and entirely frictionless.
